
Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College men's basketball team defeated Bluefield 75-73 on Saturday. The Bulldogs trailed by 13 in the second half, but Union came away with the victory.
After trailing for the second half to that point, the Bulldogs took a 68-67 lead off a 3-pointer by Terrin Hamilton with 2:01 remaining.
After multiple lead changes, Union took the lead with 0:48 to play with a layup by Markelo Sullivan. The Bulldogs kept the lead on their way to the win.

Sullivan registered a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. His 10 assists mark a season-high for any Bulldog.
Hamilton led all scorers with 29 points off 9-of-17 shooting from the floor. He was 4-of-6 from 3-point range. His 29 points are tied for second-most by a Bulldog this season. Deonte Douglas tallied 18 points and six rebounds. Markelle Turner registered eight points.
This season, the Bulldogs are now 13-6 (12-3 AAC), while Bluefield is 5-13 (5-9 AAC). Next for Union is a road conference game against Kentucky Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m.
