Summer 2021: Wrigley Field

First trip to Wrigley Field was awesome! I'm not a Cubs fan but as a baseball and sports fan, this was an amazing experience. I was surprised to be able to get a ticket at the last minute and such a good seat down the third base line for $40 and with a COVID-reduced capacity crowd was able to spread out and move down a couple of row from my seat in Section 210, Row 11. Parking was a little bit different than I'm used to, I found a spot through the "Spot Hero" app for $12, a little bit less than a mile away, valeted in a covered parking garage. The weather was cool as the sun set and the lights came on, the fans were hyped up on every play, there's no routine plays that the Cubs fans didn't get excited about. It was a refreshing experience and regardless of your fan affiliation, can't help but understand why the Cubs mean so much to the City of Chicago and it's fanbase around the world. It was a trip back in time, even with the 21st Century technology and high definition video boards, you still get the feeling you've been transported back in time as Cubs nostalgia can be seen and felt all around. The Cubs won 4-3, the game highlights and box score are posted below along with some pictures and video I took at the game, including a video of the 7th Inning Stretch where Cubs Legend Ernie Banks led the crowd in "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", a Wrigley Field tradition.
