Union Basketball Dominates Reinhardt with Five Bulldogs Scoring in Double Figures for a 96-83 Victory

Waleska, Ga. – The Union College men's basketball team picked up a 96-83 victory on Saturday at Reinhardt. The Bulldogs led by as many as 19 points in the second half.

Markelle Turner scored a season-high 23 points as he led Union in scoring for the third time this season. Deonte Douglas registered 19 points for the Bulldogs off 8-of-10 shooting from the floor.


Terrin Hamilton and Anton Mozga each scored 15 points, while Will Bailey registered 10 as five Bulldogs scored in double figures.


Markelo Sullivan tallied nine points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. This season, his seven assists are tied for the second most by a Bulldog. Sam Conley contributed five points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs.


Union was 19-of-21 from the free-throw line. The Orange and Black won the rebounding battle 41-32, scoring 42 points in the paint.


This season, the Bulldogs are now 11-5 (10-2 AAC), while Reinhardt is 5-9 (4-7 AAC). Next for Union is a road conference game on Wednesday, Jan. 10, against Pikeville.
